Eye Tattoo Pre-Care & Aftercare Instructions

Please read carefully before your appointment.
Failure to follow these instructions may affect your final results.

​​PRE CARE

  • No alcohol 24 hours before your appointment

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 7 days prior

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Advil, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before

  • No eyelash extensions, lash lifts, or tinting prior to appointment

  • Discontinue Retin-A at least 1 week before

  • Discontinue eyelash growth serums at least 3 months before

  • No Botox around the eye area within 2 weeks prior

  • No coffee or caffeine on the day of your appointment

  • Sensitivity may be higher during your menstrual cycle

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you cannot get eyeliner at this time.

  • do not wear contacts to your appointment.

  • Ensure you do not have a stye or any other eye infection. Please reschedule.

POST CARE
After-Care & Healing
Healing typically takes 7–10 days.

  • Swelling and redness are normal for the first few days

  • Mild stinging or soreness may occur

  • Pigment will soften and fade approximately 30–50% as healing completes

  • Do not be alarmed if the color appears darker initially or fades more than expected

  • A touch-up appointment is required to perfect shape and color once healing is complete

After-Care Instructions

  •  Day of : Splash water on your eyes when you get home, to wash away any ink or residue. Pat dry with a clean tissue.

  • Wash the skin around the eyes morning and night using a gentle unscented cleanser. Pat dry after.

  • Avoid chemical exfoliants, retinols or heavy creams on eyes, as they may cause fading.

  • Avoid activities that cause extreme sweating and steamy saunas or swimming for until fully healed 7-10 days.

  • No eyes make up for 7-10 days , do not scrub, scratch or pick tattoo.

  • Stay away from tanning booths or heavy sun exposure.

  • Avoid laser light therapy.

  • No lash extensions for at least 2 weeks. (I suggest longer)

Scabbing & Flaking

  • Scabbing may appear dark, thick, or uneven at first

  • Scabs will shed naturally and may fall off in small pieces, appearing patchy

  • Flaking or crusting around the eyes is normal

  • Do not pull scabs off the lashes

  • Only remove scabs if they are soft enough to slide off naturally
